Local Company Has Unique ArtPrize Involvement Beyond Sponsorship
Four Baudville teammates compete in world's largest art prize
08.31.2010 - Grand Rapids, MI - Art has always been an important part of the culture at Baudville, a leading provider in day-to-day recognition and award solutions
for the workplace. This fall, Baudville's dedication to art is extending beyond its four walls and into the city of Grand Rapids.
Baudville is proud to be a 2010 sponsor of ArtPrize, a community-wide art competition taking place September 22-October 10 in downtown Grand Rapids. One of many local
companies eager to support ArtPrize, Baudville donated products from its IDville brand, which provides identification solutions for employees, students, and staff.
IDville custom lanyards and ID badge materials will be used to identify over 3,000 ArtPrize staff, artists and volunteers. ArtPrize staff believe the identification will
make the event more meaningful to all participants.
"Direct interaction between artists and the audience is one of the joys of ArtPrize," said Kevin Buist, ArtPrize Artist Relations. "With the artists wearing easily
identifiable badges, it'll happen even more this year."
"There will be hundreds of people at each of the events that I manage, so having our volunteers, staff, and interns clearly marked with their ID badges and custom lanyards
will help our guests identify those individuals who can best enhance and better the event experience, " said Noddea Skidmore, ArtPrize Event Producer.
Baudville's involvement with ArtPrize is unique as four of its employees are exhibiting in the competition. The employees are all teammates in Baudville's product design and
"The opportunity to be involved with ArtPrize is one we couldn't pass up." said Baudville President and CEO, Brad Darooge. "Unique and innovative design is at the heart of our
company and many successful enterprises here in West Michigan. ArtPrize cultivates the creative spirit of our community, and we are thrilled to help identify all the people
who make that possible."
Baudville will be recognized as an ArtPrize Day Sponsor on Tuesday, September 28.
ArtPrize is an international competition with no jury or curator. The public votes on the top 10 pieces and eventually the overall winner. The event will take place
September 22 to October 10 in Grand Rapids, with $449,000 in prizes, and $250,000 for first place.
Baudville, the place for daily recognition, continues to be the leading innovator in day-to-day recognition solutions. Baudville's day-to-day recognition solutions appeal
