We are a produce company and use IDmaker to update, add and reprint badges for employees at our processing facility. The interface is easier to use. We also like that the database file now stores pictures and signatures all in one file. Things that are not so great are: There is a delay in launching the application. Our database is around 55Mb right now and take about 10 seconds to load and save each time. There is also about a 6 second delay in getting the camera ready for a picture after the "capture photo" button is selected. There is even a bigger delay on capturing a signature(about 10 seconds). Also while printing an ID card, If the mouse is pressed anywhere on the application, it will make the program go into(not responding) until the card is finished printing. We are running the latest firmware on the printer as well as a new laptop with i5 processor, 4 gb of ram and windows 7 professional. The laptop well exceeds the minimum system requirements. Hope to see updates on this soon.

Good but Slow
I upgrading from ID Maker Pro 2.0 to 3.0. We use it to make badges for our Staff here. The new user interface looks real nice. However it is slow to load. Changing the settings so that it did not check for updates at startup made it a little faster but not by much. We have a laptop w/ a 2.3GHz processor and 4GB of RAM running the software so that may be causing the lag. Who knows...
Great upgrade, but I also wanted legacy

This is a lot easier to use, but I would have liked to see the legacy backrounds included as well. The printer installed flawlessly the first time which was a treat.
Product works great!

Software upgrade changes and/or modifications do not appear visible, although the program seems to be quicker than before.

Love the new software!

I purchased the ID software upgrade to 3.0. I design and take ID's for a middle school. The upgrade is more intuitive, designs easy to create.
Due in Oct. Received in Feb

So far the upgrade seems to have cleared up several chronic glitches that were slowing down the process. It was advertised as coming out in Oct 2012 and was surprised that it did not become available until Feb2013.
All went fine.

The upgrade went smoothly,no problems. My machine is having issues with pullling the cards from the card holder, not sure if this is due to the up grade.
