The laminate cards are file. I am disappointed they no longer come pre- slotted. I did not know this until they arrived.

We have been through a lot of reels with different clips and this one is by far the better clip. I think it's referred to as the 'alligator clip'. It holds up and has a nice secure grip. All round great item!
Cards are sturdy but do break at lanyard end- otherwise super heavy duty.
